Thirteen Softball Players Named To Big East Academic All-Star Team
The Providence College softball team had 13 of its student-athletes earn BIG EAST Academic All-Star honors during the 2008-09 season. To be named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team, a student-athlete must earn a 3.00 grade point average or greater during the fall and spring semesters.
The 13 players are: Jen Abrams (Reading, Mass.), Christy Becker (Atlanta, Ga.), Teresa Bertels (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.), Julie Fowler (Langley, B.C.), Jenna Garcia (Morro Bay, Calif.), Alicia Grosso (Baldwin, N.Y.), Jennifer Maccio (Huntington Station, N.Y.), Ava Pandiani (Shrewsbury, Mass.), Katelyn Revens (Warwick, R.I.), Gina Rossi (Bakersfield, Calif.), Mary Rose Sheehy (Woodbridge, Conn.), Justine Stratton (Fresno, Calif.) and Kathryn Sullivan (Lagrangeville, N.Y.).

Welcome to Jacklets Softball School! Join us at Raymond Field and learn from Division I players and coaches the necessary skills to take your game to the next level.
Jacklets softball camps, high school softball camps, prospect camps and instructional skills softball clinics will emphasize individual skills, fundamentals, and team strategy. Areas covered include everything from hitting, outfield and infield play to base running, sliding and much more. Our staff will conduct individual and group instruction for all players.

Q. How old do you have to be to attend a College Softball Camp or Clinic?
A. Each College Softball Camp usually has camps for youth and then High School camps. Check the school of choice to see the different options available.
Q. When should I start to go to College Softball Camps?
A. The earlier the better! The younger you can get started to be fundamentally sound the better. It's also great to have the College Softball Coaches know who you are when you are 10 and then they see you again at 16 and say, I remember that girl. Man, she can really play.
